wording and etiquette

Thank you for visiting Broadway Paper! From traditional to super casual, we have the wedding invitation wording you’ll need for your big day. Deciding on the right wording for your wedding invitation will depend on three main factors: who's hosting the wedding, if your ceremony venue is religious or secular, and if the reception is being held at the ceremony venue or a different location.

The traditional wedding invitation wording and layout has changed little over the years. Its fundamental purpose is to invite your guests and to inform them the location and date of your wedding. Most other information is superfluous and should not be included on your wedding invitation.

Our wording examples and etiquette tips are merely guidelines and samples for you to peruse and get comfortable with, keep in mind that there are many other options depending on family situations and personal preferences. Wording examples and etiquette tips will be discussed in depth during your consultation.
